Like most stock image sites, you may search by terms that are associated with the title of a specific work, or by subject matter or theme. However, the Library of Art is designed to be used best by browsing Curated Collections.
The Curated Collections are themed collections of artwork and graphics associated with liturgical events (Sundays, Holy Days, Feast Days, etc.) and organized primarily chronologically throughout the year. Some collections such as Catholic or Cultural Art are organized alphabetically by subject matter for ease of browsing.
The organization of content into Curated Collections makes it easier for anyone composing communications based on the Catholic liturgical cycles to quickly find all the content that applies to a specific event in one place. Less digging through archives and fewer web searches.
Part of the intent of the Library of Art is to make the wealth of beautiful Catholic art throughout the world more accessible to Catholic parishes and the laity.
Graphics in the Curated Collections are intentionally and thoughtfully created with font styles and color selections that evoke the feel of the season. The same colors and fonts are carried through each Sunday of the season for a consistent design style that helps your communications look more professional. New fonts and colors are introduced at the beginning of each season.
